Unless its absolutely unnecessary there will be a created roadway. Yes I understand its a desolate region with not alot of people, but even in remote areas of the world the important parts, stores and towns, will have somewhat decent roadways, because traffic has to come to these places on a regular basis. Other times it feel its just way too much work. There are times that missions feel justified and the right amount of work involved. I think when it comes to this game there are alot things we can all agree on. Thank you, if you got this far in reading. On the picture you can see InvalidRedneck's K30 in action in Wisconsin. I’m still looking forward to the new content and I’m supporting them by buying all the extra DLC (even for MudRunner) and with some constructive criticism, if they see this. I really appreciate the work of the devs, it’s just, that I don’t like all of the design decisions they made. My favorite is Canadian Runner 01/02 by MADMartinQc.

I’m still trying to use realistic mods on og maps.
SNOWRUNNER PHASE 3 RELEASE DATE UPDATE
Starting with Wisconsin update I’m using now full range of vehicles and tweeks created by awesome modders. Which I did for the base game, but it was Imandra where I decided to edit that fucking. I wanted the vanilla SnowRunner experience. I’m not just complaining, I found some solutions, which work for me. Just to expose this unrealistic feature of our game. Because, as we know, chains are good on ice and making grip worse in mud and snow, right? The fucking opposite! Okay, then let’s make some tasks where you deliver some cargo from muddy places to facilities only reachable on steep icy roads. SnowRunner’s the name, we have chained tires for ya! Great! Nope. Why am I limited by such a nonsense trick? How on earth? Why? Just to force the players to use Russian trucks? Mud tires are already behind a progression wall, why can’t I use them on my favorite US trucks, after I reached the needed level? Don’t get me wrong, I like the Russian trucks also, but I like to use big variety of trucks. But it makes the game repetitive, because you have to do the same route over and over and over again. Like 10 metal beams, 20 bricks, 1000 wooden planks… I get it, this is probably more realistic, than in the early game, where you needed maybe 2 or 4. Me thinking, probably some special cargo and some building materials. We’re building the factory, need your help. WHAT? Eight? You must be the guy whose house we ripped off yesterday. Well, two wooden planks should do the trick. Some steel or wood is needed for the bridge? Okay.

Especially in the new expansions they are… wtf? Build a realistic looking map and populate it with missions.Ģ.

It feels like they were made to serve the tasks and the jobs in the game. The OG and Phase 1 regions/maps are well done (remember the town in Black River?), but Phase 2&3… I like the look & feel of those maps, but the structure of roads/houses/facilities is just weird. Hurricane in Wisconsin? Eh, really? I know, huge storms occur there, but hurricanes? Tough, my main complaint is the about the settlements/houses. It is just not realistic in some places, which kinda ruins the immersion. I’m writing this, because I’m really interested in other opinions regarding these topics. Most of these things are a matter of taste, don’t get too angry about it, if you disagree. Disclaimer: this is a long rant about the things I don’t like in SnowRunner, particularly in the Phase 2&3 expansions.
